A New Generation of Gen-Sets
In less than a year, new John Deere customer Inmesol has already proven to
be a loyal one. First introduced to John Deere engines in 2004, this Spanish company, which specializes in generator sets, lighting towers, and sound-proofed canopies, has equipped more than 1,000 of its generator sets with John Deere engines.
Quality is key. A specialist in manufacturing
components for customer equipment, Inmesol recently began marketing generator sets and lighting towers under its own name. “Having worked closely with other manufacturers on tailor-made components, we had a good insight into the challenges of the generator industry. Manufacturing our own sets just seemed a logical next step,” explains Jose Luis Solano, managing
director of Inmesol.
Inmesol’s range of open and soundproofed generator sets are manufactured in their highly automated facilities on the southeastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, in Corvera, Murcia. The most modern robotised machinery cuts,
shapes, paints, and installs the components under strict quality control to create some of the most reliable generator equipment available on the market.
The AKER line of silenced sets are made of steel with rounded corners to help resist vibration and are painted using a complex coating process so they can withstand any weather condition.
Wide doors allow easy access for cleaning and repair, and a trailer attachment is available for transport along public roads. Within this range, John Deere engines are installed for
products delivering between 34 and 200 kVA.
Inmesol’s ATON open-static generator sets offer a wide range of power ratings from 8 to 817 kVA at 50 Hz. As with the AKER line, those devices operating between 34 and 200 kVA are equipped with John Deere engines.
Solano continues: “When we first got together, John Deere experts worked hand-in-hand with our technical and R&D departments to ensure a perfect synchronization of the engine and the
other components. This has resulted in highly resistant, durable generator sets suitable for a variety of agricultural, commercial, and construction applications. The market has responded very positively to this new combination of John Deere engines and Inmesol generators.”
Lighting towers save the day. Besides generator sets, Inmesol offers a range of hydraulic-controlled lighting towers, which are also equipped with John Deere engines. Lighting towers are often used to illuminate sites where
labor is required at night, such as public works projects where deadlines are tight or normal daytime traffic would be an issue. And when emergency work is needed due to fires or floods, their bright light can help save lives and property. The 9-meter (29.5 ft.) telescopic mast with six 1500-watt floodlights capable of turning 360 degrees gives a perfect overview of the site and allows for a large working area.
Solano concludes: “While we have a complete offering in lighting towers and generators, we also cater to customers’ specific requirements. Our close relationship with John Deere means that we can quickly develop tailored solutions to meet individual customer specifications.”
