JOHN DEERE GOLF INCREASES COMMITMENT TO GOLF INDUSTRY

ASGCA, GCSAA and IGCEMA Benefit from Sponsorships

CARY, North Carolina (February 01, 2008)— Today John Deere Golf announced it is enhancing its commitments to the golf industry for 2008 and beyond.

"John Deere has always been an innovator in not only equipment, but also education and industry leadership," said Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing, John Deere Golf. "We introduced the industry's first Spanish language training, the first online customer training and we've been actively involved in organizations such as Golf 20/20, the Environmental Institute for Golf and regional industry events. At this year's Golf Industry Show (GIS), we're pleased to increase our commitment to two industry associations and announce our sponsorship of the industry's newest organization."

During GIS, John Deere is a gold sponsor of two tee boxes being built as part of the Golf Course Solutions Center in conjunction with the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA).

Additionally, as it continues to support the golf course superintendent, John Deere is now a Platinum Partner – the highest level of support – for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).

Finally, welcoming the industry's most recent organizational addition, John Deere is a founding gold sponsor of the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA) and is sponsoring its first golf show reception.

"Since our entry into the industry more than 20 years ago, John Deere Golf has been a strong supporter of education and growth," said Breningmeyer. "We're proud to be supporting the people who make this industry what it is today and who will lead it into the future."

John Deere Golf offers quality agronomic products, precise irrigation systems and innovative equipment for golf course construction, renovation, and ongoing mowing and maintenance. As the official golf course equipment and irrigation supplier to the PGA TOUR, John Deere brings tournament-level quality to today's courses, giving golf course superintendents and other management professionals the products, expertise and support they need.
