Frontier Equipment Introduces New Landscaping Tools

LENEXA, Kansas (August 07, 2008) – Frontier Equipment introduces a new line of drawn box scrapers, new grooming mowers, and a ground-driven conservation seeder for landscape contractors and municipalities.

"Frontier LL11 Series Drawn Box Scrapers work with 20 to 50 horsepower tractors. The larger LL13 Series match up with tractors ranging from 35 to 125 horsepower depending on the model selected. These new scrapers are an affordable option for precision leveling and for grading private roads or drives," says Michael Horrell, Frontier sales and marketing manager.

LL11 Series Scrapers are available in five- or six-foot working widths – backed by a one-year warranty. LL13 Series Scrapers are available with working widths of six, seven, and eight feet, and are backed by a six-month warranty.

"Compare the LL13 Series Drawn Box Scrapers to some competitive brands and you'll see that they're beefier and heavier. This makes them more durable and helps them penetrate hard soils without customers needing to add extra ballast on the machine," explains Horrell.

There is one thing customers may wish to add to the LL13 Series and that's any one of a number of optional attachments including hydraulic scarifiers, a spring tine harrow, drum roller, or rolling basket.

"These attachments make Frontier drawn box scrapers an extremely versatile tool for landscape contractors or municipalities. Use them for site preparation. Pack and compress loose soil before seeding. Or, use them to rip through tough soil while leveling," adds Horrell.

Besides new scrapers, Frontier adds three new grooming mowers to its popular line.

"Lawn-care providers can achieve professional results more affordably with the addition of a new 30 Series Grooming Mower. Three hitch-mounted rear-discharge models are available with your choice of 54-, 60-, or 70-inch cut widths. Plus, the gearboxes on these mowers, are backed by a three-year warranty," says Horrell.

The GM3054 mower requires tractors with 15 to 25 PTO horsepower and features a thick 10-guage-steel-plate deck. The GM3060 and GM3072 require tractors with 25 to 35 PTO horsepower and feature an 8-guage-steel-plate deck for added durability.

"Each model is equipped with three heat-treated alloy-steel mower blades for long service life. Plus, you can fine-tune the cut height from one to 4.5 inches. Optional front-mounted anti-scalp rollers are available for additional lawn protection if you mow across uneven ground on a regular basis," Horrell says.

Also new this year are the line of Frontier CS Series Conservation Seeders.

"CS Series Seeders are ground-driven so there are no PTO components to maintain. This virtually eliminates maintenance and repair costs. You can use them to seed into existing grass or pasture, for primary or over seeding, or to apply fertilizer or lime. They can also be used to aerate and de-thatch existing lawns. Two models are available in five- and seven-foot widths that require a tractor with at least 35 horsepower," explains Horrell.

The CS1360 is compatible with Category 1 and 2 rear hitches as well as the John Deere iMatch™ quick-attach system for easy hookups. The larger CS1384 is compatible with Category 2 rear hitches and is also iMatch compatible.
