Frontier Equipment Introduces New Property Maintenance Tools
LENEXA, Kansas (August 07, 2008) Frontier Equipment introduces a new line of land planes, wood chippers, and a seven-foot rotary cutter to help property owners tame rough driveways, maintain properties, and cut tall grass.
The new LP Series Land Planes are backed by a one-year warranty. Four hitch-mounted models are available from 48- to 96-inch widths and are sized to fit 25- to 75-horsepower tractors. Two available pull-type models can be towed with all-terrain or utility vehicles.
"Our land planes feature two reversible double-bevel cutting edges and a heavy-duty mainframe that quickly fill in potholes and eliminate washboards," says Michael Horrell, Frontier sales and marketing manager. "With each pass you can easily recondition private gravel roads and tame rough driveways. They’re also a good choice for general leveling and grading applications."
The LP1160 and LP1172 are equipped with a Category 1 and John Deere iMatch™ quick-hitch system for fast, trouble-free hookups. The LP1184 and LP1196 feature Category 1 and 2, 3-point hitch connections, and are also iMatch and quick-hitch compatible.
Height adjustments on the pull-type models can be made with a manual-ratchet lift mechanism. Or, an optional 12-volt electric-lift kit, can be added for enhanced operator convenience.
With the introduction of three new WC Series Wood Chippers property owners have a new tool they can use to chip and recycle fallen limbs or branches into mulch. Horrell says Frontier wood chippers chew up wood branches from three to five inches in diameter. Tractor power requirements range from 18 to 95 horsepower depending on the model of wood chipper selected. All three models can be coupled easily to your tractor's 3-point rear hitch.
"Customers can choose gravity or hydraulic feed options. Plus, the discharge chute can be easily rotated 360 degrees and you can adjust the deflector angle to control the distance and location of the material being discharged," Horrell says.
Frontier has also added an affordable new hitch-mounted rotary cutter to their lineup that property owners can use to help maintain their grounds.
"The RC2084 is compatible with 45- to 90-PTO hp tractors and has a cut width of seven feet that's ideal for many property owners. Plus, customers get a premium driveline they can depend on. This model is also beefed up with a large 90 hp gearbox, 10-gauge deck steel, three-quarter-inch thick gearbox mounting plate, and tubular-top deck bracing for outstanding durability," says Horrell.
Cut height can be quickly adjusted from 1.75 up to 11 inches. The RC2084 is Category 2, and quick-hitch compatible for fast, easy hookups. In addition, customers can add optional dual tail wheels for enhanced cutter stability and control. Three other models of RC20 Series Cutters are available with four-, five, or six-foot cut widths. Each model is backed by a one-year warranty – the gearbox is backed by a two-year limited warranty.
