John Deere Annual Feedback Event

John Deere Annual Feedback Event
CARY, North Carolina (October 22, 2007) — John Deere recently completed its annual Feedback event, returning to Europe for the first time in a decade. The event, exclusive to the 170-year-old company, engages golf customers from around the world to gather input on the newest technologies in the industry.

"Feedback has continued to be an invaluable source of information and influence on John Deere's evolution," said Gregg Breningmeyer, director of golf and turf sales and marketing, John Deere Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division (C&CE). "We wanted to ensure that this event more accurately reflected John Deere's growing global commitment to the golf and turf industry, so we elected to hold the event in Germany to gather more globally-diverse input."

The 10-day event was held at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club in Germany, drawing nearly 700 attendees representing 37 different nations from five continents.

Each three-day session gave customers the opportunity to personally experience new products and technology on the golf course, including both equipment and irrigation systems. Once the experience was complete, customers provided direct feedback to the on-site John Deere engineering team by filling out survey questions and discussing specific needs. Attendees were also provided with a tour of John Deere's Mannheim manufacturing facility, and enjoyed networking and entertainment in the evenings.

"The diversity of attendees and their unique product needs led to some very valuable customer feedback that will ultimately be incorporated into our future product programs," said Mike Flenniken, director of engineering, John Deere C&CE Division. "We are always amazed by the passion our golf and turf customers exhibit when discussing the products and technologies that help them improve performance in their daily work."
