NEW HAY MERGER EQUIPMENT LINE OFFERED BY FRONTIER EQUIPMENT

LENEXA, Kansas (August 23, 2007) — Adding to an already extensive line of hay and forage implements, Frontier Equipment introduces three new hay tools, the HM Series 1109, 1209 and 1212 Hay Mergers.

"Producers looking for a high-capacity hay merger to combine multiple windrows into one even and consistent windrow can now choose from a 9-foot standard pull-behind model, or a 9-foot or 12-foot Hydro-Swing, side-pull model," says Michael Horrell, manager, marketing, Frontier Equipment. "These machines allow growers to gain more productivity from their forage harvester by reducing the number of passes through the field."
The hay mergers are designed with a tough, durable frame to stand up to rigorous field conditions. Left or right merging can be easily switched with handy, quick-disconnect hoses.
"The head height is easily adjusted for various crop conditions," explains Horrell. "The operator simply removes two pins to adjust the needed height. We also equipped the hay mergers with a heavy-duty 42-inch wide-ribbed cross conveyor that delivers plenty of capacity for dense windrows."
Other features include a rear-swivel tail wheel, equipped with a brake assembly that is easily adjusted with a single bolt and is ideal for tough field conditions or transport. Replaceable pickup teeth are made from durable plastic to ensure that no metal enters the crop.
"For growers that need more capacity for wider windrows, we also offer extension kits to merge extra-wide cuts," says Horrell. "The two-foot extension is available for nine-foot models and two-, four- or six-foot folding extensions are available for the 12-foot models. The extensions hydraulically fold up and shut off when not in use and can be ordered either field or factory-installed."
