Winter is over and golf is in the air
A famous poet once said that "In the spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love." This poet must have been a golfer, because I'm sure he was really talking about golf. Springtime brings thoughts of golf to action-especially in those areas of the country where we have to wait for the snow to melt before we can hit the links.
Now that spring is here, those courses that were closed for the winter are back in action. There's a feeling of optimism all through the industry this year, because golf rounds in 2006 were higher than they've been in six years and there's no reason to expect a drop-off.
