John Deere Forestry opens new sales and service center to Russia

John Deere Forestry expands its service network in Russia. The world's leading manufacturer in Forestry Equipment opens a new sales and service center in Syktyvkar, the Republic of Komi.

 John Deere Forestry Russia
The Republic of Komi is known for its forest resources. Hundreds of forest machines work on local logging sites; more than half of them are John Deere or Timberjack machines. By opening a new representative office in Komi, John Deere strengthens its position also in the growing North-East, Russian forestry market.

Advanced forest machines are constantly being developed. John Deere Forestry and  leading forestry operators around the world work closely to develop both Cut-To-Length and Full-Tree forest machines even further. John Deere will open a new training center for operators in Komi facilities. "The principal way of development of our business is an expansion of the network of service centers, and shortening of spare and component parts delivery terms", comments Hannu Hietikko, General Director of ZAO John Deere Forestry.

John Deere will continue to invest in its European and Russian forestry networks in the future. Spare parts availability and short delivery times are the key success factors for forestry operators. Due to the high availability of spare parts, the delivery terms of necessary spare parts to customers have significantly decreased.

John Deere Forestry in Russia:
John Deere Forestry is celebrating 30 years of doing business in Russia - the first cut-to-length forest machines were delivered in Russia in 1977. Today, John Deere Forestry has offices in Saint-Petersburg and Khabarovsk, a branch in Syktyvkar and a service center in Petrozavodsk. Six dealers (in the towns of Koryazhma, Belozersk, Perm, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Vologda) provide service to customers throughout Russia.
