The Marketing and Customer Support Representative Development Programs are designed to provide a candidate with targeted training and work experiences that will enhance that person's ability to add value, educate, and sell, immediately upon placement in a marketing or customer support role.

Ready to help in marketing one of the most respected and recognized brands in the world? In Marketing/Customer Support at John Deere, you'll find a variety of opportunities as you participate in strategic initiatives that help John Deere differentiate our products in the marketplace.

A development program is an exciting place to start with John Deere. You'll work in cross-functional teams with other departments such as tactical marketing, factory marketing, or sales branches. Dealership and customer interactions are a key part of our business-and a very enjoyable part of being involved in marketing. Your assignments could take you anywhere in the United States, from a factory to a sales branch or our headquarters in Moline, Illinois. You'll work on key value-added projects that allow you to make a lasting impact on the organization.

Once we give you the lead on a project, you'll have the freedom to tackle challenges with your own initiative and ideas. Our project managers and marketing team will work closely with you to provide the support you need to be successful.

Marketing Representative Development Program

The Marketing Representative Development Program is a 12-15 month program, consisting of two rotational assignments, followed by job shadowing.  Assignments range from brand building and merchandising to sales training with our dealers and coordinating product promotional events. For example, you may be asked to redesign a direct mail parts catalog for our customers, work on competitive comparisons for new products or train dealer personnel on how to use new John Deere software applications.

Customer Support Representative Development Program

The Customer Support Representative Development Program is a 12 month program, consisting of two rotational assignments.  Assignments range from equipment problem resolution and training dealers on new product to writing technical manuals and coordinating photo shoots and field demonstrations.
