European John Deere Forum in Mannheim now open

John Deere Forum July 10 - John Deere’s new exhibition pavilion in Mannheim, the John Deere Forum, opened on 9 July 2007 to welcome its first visitors. The 1,920 sqm facility accommodates an outside combine machine display and a 1,000 sqm indoor display area which presents Lanz and John Deere vintage machines and a portfolio of current John Deere Ag and C&CE products, including a C&F forwarder simulator.
John Deere Forum with combine To meet the needs of the visitor services programs, the four flexible-wall presentation rooms of the John Deere Forum are designed to host up to 50 visitors each. Two additional meeting rooms will allow workshops and conferences for up to 18 people each. Special treats are the educational area which will accommodate a 1:32 scale toy farm and the library which will also serve as lounge. The John Deere Forum is complemented by a 75 sqm merchandize shop and an upper floor bistro with indoor and outdoor balcony which serves a selection of healthy foods and non-alcoholic beverages from the region.
“We are confident that the new John Deere Forum will serve as a well accepted Europe-wide meeting point in Mannheim for domestic and foreign visitors”, says John Deere Forum Manager Ralf Lenge. “Yesterday's ‘soft opening’ showed that there is considerable interest in this new facility”. The official inauguration ceremony will be held on 26 October 2007 in line with the opening of the neighboring new Deere & Company European Office building.
Inside of John Deere Forum The first official event at the John Deere Forum is a “Jugend denkt Zukunft” (Youngsters develop our Future) workshop of 20 students from the Mannheim technical High School Carl Benz. These young people are developing plans for the environmentally friendly tractor factory of 2020.

Opening hours of the John Deere Forum, including bistro and merchandise shop are Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is more news on the John Deere Forum to come…
